Throughout all my research of people reversing or curing themselves of ALS/MND there’s a few things I’ve realised. The main thing being attitude. Every person’s story is different, with some slight crossovers. A strong, positive attitude with a firm belief in what they’re doing is what I think seems to be the main reason for their healing success. My belief for myself is strong. I’m confident that I can beat this thing. Although I do have my ups and downs just like most people. There are days when I get a bit down and the fear of the realisation of what might be in store for me hits home. It’s tough!!
However, there’s no time to dwell on that!! If I want life to go on then I need to keep hitting it harder than it’s hitting me.
On my research travels I found this interesting supplement and it sounds too good not to give it a try. Impressive!! It’s called Astaxanthin.
Astaxanthin is an anti-oxidant in the carotenoid family that gives salmon it’s red-orange color. Research published in The Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism suggests astaxanthin can reduce oxidative stress, inflammation and enhance the immune system! According to several studies when it comes to eliminating free radicals astaxanthin can be as much as:
*550 times stronger than vitamin E
*800 times more powerful than CoQ10
*6000 times more potent than vitamin C Astaxanthin was even found to be more than 500 times more powerful than catechins found in green tea!
I’m also taking CBD oil now. The amount of research into this is incredible!! As is most of the results. The benefits of CBD. oil are always in the top 5 of pretty much any disease and condition that I’ve researched. Obviously ALS/MND is my primary concern. But here’s what’s being said on that.
CBD was found to prevent toxic effects of neurotransmitter glutamate and radical oxygen species (ROS) in the brain, thus preventing brain cell death.
CBD has antioxidant activity greater than vitamin C (ascorbic acid) or vitamin E (α-tocopherol). CBD may also protect brain cells from beta-amyloid toxicity, making it a potential therapeutic agent in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
CBD, due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, may be a promising agent to treat and prolong survival in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) patients.
Again, as you should know by now, inflammation is the key enemy and these supplements seem to be extremely effective at dealing with it. These added to my ketogenic, gluten and sugar free diet should sort out any inflammation issues.
The next thing I’m looking into is Ozone therapy. I’ll keep you posted on that when I find out more. It seems to be very good for ALS/MND.
Unfortunately none of these supplements are available on the NHS. I’m totally self funded. Through pressure from many friends I’ve set up a Go Fund Me page in the hope of getting outside help. I definitely can’t keep this up on my own. It’s expensive. All I’m doing is trying to survive. I hope to have many more good years ahead of me that don’t involve being in a wheelchair, feeding or breathing through a tube.
Below is the link to my page if you wish to help me fight this horrible disease. If you do then I thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart.
All the very best,
Paul.
