I read that wee book to my wee guy (age 9) a while ago and we loved it. Recommend it to everyone, regardless if you are into martial arts or not. To quote our American cousins "Funakoshi, you rock".

I've never seen you shoot fireballs yet Paul and that's always been a motivating factor in my training.

Maybe I've overshot the mark? or just played too many computer games.

The sky's the limit, not the top of Mt. Fuji.

Interesting, tried this idea this morning, worked a treat. Seeing as i had very little sleep the night before, it was a struggle to get the normal amount of reps done.

This is a pretty controversial article but all the more right for it. At http://www.PeopleMaps.com we see how personality affects every decision you make and how you respond to every scenario. The physical body cannot be separated from the personality.

A good friend of mine http://www.Alicampbell.com goes a step further and with small tweaks on the mind, makes enormous changes in performance.

The “tried and tested” approach isn’t good enough. Huge leaps in understanding have appeared over the last few years and if coaches aren’t using them, then they are letting their athletes down.

As you know i am one of these people who often moan about the lack of time i seem to have .But as with yourself as i get older i seem to utilise what time i can make a little better. So now i use that 20 minutes i would have spent moaning to train, and if i can find another 20-40 minutes during that day i feel i get an accumulative affect.Which has got to be better than doing nothing.

Cheers Paul,

I've not got access to a bag but some pads on the dummy should be enough to help me build up a sweat in the mean time. It's been in the living room for going on three months now and the other half still hasn't demanded it be moved, let the good times roll.
Can't really grumble about training partners as I've been doing a bit of training with Brian recently.
